Happy Friday friends!
Whether you’re coming off four days back at work, two days back at work, or you’re off until the 6th (you lucky pup, but what are you doing?), I’m sure this has still felt like the longest week EVER. But now it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy two whole days of lie-ins and lounging. Let’s not even think about the shock that next week (five working days?! Are you insane!?) will bring.
I neglected to do one of my Snapshots posts last Friday, so this week I’m bringing you a fortnight worth of snaps. Enjoy!
The Sunday before Christmas, I spent the afternoon making homemade Chocolate Coconut Fudge (with bounty pieces!) and Homemade Coffee Walnut whips to give as gifts. I then headed home with Milo to my parents house in Staffordshire for Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, I went with my lovely mum to afternoon tea at the Vintage Tea Emporium in Uttoxeter, not far from where they live. I definitely recommend visiting if you’re ever in the area – the sandwiches and cakes were so tasty and it’s a lovely place with beautiful Cath Kidston-esque decor and vintage china and teapots. Just a lovely place to sit and while away a few hours drinking cup after cup of tea!
Before we knew it, Christmas morning was here! I kicked the day off right with two generous cinnamon blueberry pancakes with a cheeky extra ingredient – a couple of tablespoons of nutella melting in between them. It was oh-so-good!
Among my presents, I got a Benefit make-up set, two of the cutest cookie cutters EVER! a yankee candle in Fresh Cotton (so amazing smelling) and lots more other stuff.
The next day we enjoyed more cocktails, food, family time and games – and Milo enjoyed his new radiator bed! He was a bit uncertain at first, but now he will not get out of it!
Last up, New Year’s Eve! We enjoyed a few drinks in a pub before heading home for a MASSIVE Domino’s pizza. There was literally enough food for four people and we ate it all! Sadly the combination of wine and a huge carb overload then knocked us out and we were fast asleep by the time 2014 was rung in.
New Year’s Day, I organised and cleared out the house, took down all our Christmas decorations and made some delicious Pumpkin pecan scones. Oh, and did some serious relaxing with Milo.
What does 2014 have in store for you readers? With a 30th birthday, a wedding and a honeymoon it should be a pretty awesome year for us hopefully!

The Vintage Tea Emporium sounds like a great place. I hope to get to England at some point and will definitely check it out. I have a list of places to see in different states/countries. Adding to the list now. π Also, I love these pictures. It looks like you had such a lovely Christmas!
Also, I haven’t had Dominos pizza in FOREVER π Looks really good!

I can’t wait to see the photos of your wedding I know it’s going to be absolutely FABulous.
I finally start my training contract in a couple of weeks so this year will be a busy one for me too. Hopefully the blog won’t get neglected!
