Happy Friday!! Hurray, happy days are here again!
This past week has been pretty busy! I took a trip to Brighton from Friday – Sunday to visit my brother and hang out at the seaside. The weather was so sunny and warm and Brighton is so cute with lots of great shops and food places. We had a fun time playing cards in the garden and drinking cider!
Plus a visit to the beach, an ice cream the size of my head (!) and lots more.
This week I also went to see Frances Ha (have you seen it? I liked it! And Modern Love has now made its way firmly onto our wedding playlist!), and watched in awe (from the bus, thankfully!) as Nottingham got a HUGE amount of rain in one day and flooded all up in itself.
Let’s see, what else… my hair turned lighter brown, I got some pretty flowers, I wore my new shoes, a lot, I found the disposable cake tins that I use to make my Rainbow Cake in a new larger size (PERFECT!).
The good folk at Higgidy also sent me some vouchers to use on their lovely quiches and pies. I’ve written about how much I like their products and company before, and I love that everything they make still retains that homemade with love feeling!
Oh and I made S’MORES COOKIES. You are going to want to know about this… they were amazing! I’ll post the recipe here soon.
I have another busy weekend ahead – I’m meeting a friends newborn baby – I can’t wait! What are you up to this weekend readers?
x Kerry
1) Love all of the shoes! 2) The ice cream looks so good! 3) What a fun little getaway to the beach! 4) What is in the box in the picture at the very top right? Looks delicious – whatever it is! 🙂
Thanks Di! It’s shortbread that I made using a thistle mould – it didn’t come out too well, but it was tasty!
Hi Kerry, where did you find the disposable cake tins and what size are they? I make mine in 8″ pans but I only have 2 so I have the mixture 3 times, very time consuming bt always works out great!! 🙂
Sorry Tanya – I should have said! They are from Wilko’s – £1 for 6! I haven’t measured them but they look like they are 8″
