Happy Friday readers! What have you been doing this week, anything fun?
This past weekend, I travelled to Leicester to meet up with a group of fellow bloggers, including the lovely and talented Liana, Jen, E and B! We enjoyed a leisurely walk around, stopped in at Cinnabon (! sadly they were out of stock of most products, and the ones we did try were disappointingly mushy) and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Mrs Bridge’s Tea Rooms, which I thoroughly recommend!
Liana also gave me a lovely star nozzle which I’ll be trying out soon!
I later realised that there is a Zatchels factory shop in Leicester. D’oh!
This week I also made baked doughnuts for the very first time, in a few different flavours – I’ll be sharing them with you soon! I was so pleased with how they turned out, the doughnut pan that I bought from Amazon was fantastic!
Tuesday was Marty and Milo’s third birthday (YES I CELEBRATE MY CATS BIRTHDAY AND I DON’T CARE IF YOU LAUGH) – they enjoyed copious treats! Marty is newly addicted to these meaty sticks and mews at the treat cupboard constantly until we give them to him. It’s difficult to say no when he’s so cute. I think this may mean that my children are going to be obese.
The doughnuts were for this months City WI (Nottingham City Women’s Institute) meeting, which I am currently the president of. We had lots of lovely new visitors which was fab, and lots of people baked amazing cakes for our Bake-Off!
The REAL Great British Bake Off is back on our screens from this Tuesday the 20th – I’m so excited! The contestants for this year’s series have been revealed and I’m already trying to work out which one might win. Exciting!
We also started sending our wedding save the dates – fun! In rainbow coloured envelopes, of course! Only ten months to go…
This week I also brought you my Snickers Chocolate Fudge Brownies, and shared hints and tips on creating a fun and colourful Rainbow Cake here on my blog!
What are you up to this weekend?
x Kerry
