Happy Friday! How has your week been readers? Mine has been pretty busy! I continued to get to grips with my new job, I bought a pretty new vintage plate from a charity shop, I made Pumpkin Cupcakes (oh SO good) and I switched utterly and completely into autumn mode, despite the fact that its still pretty warm and I’m going on a beach holiday in October!
I know its bad to wish your life away by always looking toward the next thing, but I am so longing for crisp autumn air, crunchy fallen leaves and all the other good things that come with autumn! Including, this year, the birth of a good friends baby – I can’t wait to meet him or her!
This week also saw the return of the Great British Bake-Off (SO EXCITING), as well as a couple of lunches with friends. Life is good!
Other stuff from this week – new cardigans from Primark (yay autumn!), lots of kitty petting (as ever), the new Ikea catalogue (exciting, but very low on things I want to buy) and a gratuitous selfie!
On Thursday I also paid a visit to The Cake Decorating Company in Nottingham to stock up on lots of cute sprinkles for Halloween and Christmas – so exciting! Then I enjoyed a fun evening with friends – I baked this cheesecake, which is actually a healthy cheesecake, using quark and fat free yoghurt instead of cream and very little sugar.
It’s a three day weekend in the UK – what are you up to this weekend readers?
In case you missed it, this week I made delicious Key Lime Cupcakes with a digestive biscuit base, and also blogged my recap of the first episode of fourth season of The Great British Bake-Off!
