Hurrah for Friday, its here at last!
Last Friday evening I went to Pilot in Nottingham (again!) with our friends Emma and Nial. Their pizza is on a sourdough base, and it’s really good, but I’ve been there three times this year and I think I’ve definitely reached saturation point!
My week this week has been mostly food related, so get ready for lots of pictures of delicious stuff! This week I tried making my homemade nutella again in an effort to get some better photo’s of it.
Saturday was valentine’s day, and Lee got me some pretty flowers and a card. I got him this cute turtle card (he’s a big fan of TMNT!).
Milo has been eating all his antibiotics (he doesn’t even seem to know they’re in the food!) and seems to be much better than last week. Here’s him helping me to do some blogging at the weekend –
Bella has an obsession with dripping water at the moment – she loves hanging out in the bath just waiting for the tap to drip! I think she’s trying to figure out where it’s coming from!
I had to add this post it to my computer this week at work after a testing phone call! There’s a misconception about me that I am ALWAYS NICE when in fact that’s not the case (sorry to burst your bubble!). I tend to be very nice (I hope!) to my friends and family, but my patience is often thin with people out there in the world, such as when I’m riding my bike to work and pedestrians decide to veer suddenly into my path. I have to remind myself everyday to try to be a better person and rise above it. But really, veering should be punishable by death.
Currently reading: I recently finished The Girl on the Train and now I’m reading Wild (the book that the recent film is based on). I enjoyed The Girl on the Train but found it a bit wildly implausible, or perhaps the characters just weren’t written quite as well as those in Gone Girl. Wild grabbed me SO FAST and is just amazingly well written – I was welling up within the first five minutes when she describes losing her mother at 22.
Currently watching: Lots of the latest series of Parks and Recreation and It’s always sunny in Philidelphia… and waiting patiently for series 3 of House of Cards to appear on Netflix at the end of this month!
Currently eating: Homemade nutella, beans and avocado (not at the same time!). This has become one of my favourite meals – spicy beans with cheese on a homemade tortilla with a crunchy mexican style salad, served with avocado and yoghurt!
This weekend I’m visiting my family in Staffordshire! It was my dad’s birthday this week and so we’re all heading over there to celebrate with him. My dad, brother, and Lee are all heading to Burton to tour the England training ground there (for football – I will not be attending!). I’m making something like this for my family with crushed amaretti biscuits too!
What are you up to this weekend friends?
