Ohhhhhhhhhh Easter Friday is here and I am pretty excited, friends!
I’m so ready for a long weekend (really long in my case – 6 days!). I’m doing some fun stuff, plus hopefully taking care of some jobs that I’ve been putting off for far too long!
This past week there’s been a lot of PHOTOS! I got my new iPhone (6) on Saturday. I went with 3 since I wanted unlimited data for listening to podcasts and the radio at the gym. Can I just marvel at how insanely easy it now is get a new iPhone up and running?! Less than an hour after it appeared on my door it was up and running with all my apps and other bits and bobs, and getting my number changed over actually wasn’t a hassle either!
So, all the photos! The iPhone 6 camera is much better than the 5 – it’s amazing! I read in a review that a photographer said that the 6 is the first phone thats ever let them leave their DSLR at home. You can see every individual hair on Milo here!
And every detail of this terrifying photo of him ‘roaring’ (yawning!).
Wow! If you ever wondered EXACTLY what the inside of a cats mouth looks like, now you know! And those little needles on his tongue? They’re what enable cats to wash themselves so efficiently, and they’re what hurt so much when Milo decides that his hoomans need a bath.
I baked LOTS this week! Oatmeal protein muffins, Pecan Oat Choc Chunk cookies, and then Chocolate Oat Crinkle cookies… yes I went a little crazy on oats!
Ooh these were good. Can’t wait to share them with you!
This week I finally bit the bullet and invested a bit in my skincare. Between these lot and SPF100 sun cream whenever I go outside, I’m hoping the wrinkles will stay away!
Oh and we also got a new vacuum (what a thrilling week it’s been!). I had to take this picture as this is how much dust and cat hair it picked up from just my DINING ROOM! Terrifying, but highly satisfying. I love it so much I’m probably going to do a whole blog post about it!
Since I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the kitties with my new phone, we captured this exchange between Milo and Bella one evening! Bella was trying to catch Milo’s tail….
Hope you enjoyed this weeks Snapshots from my Cats Week! What are you doing over Easter?
Today I’m heading to Leeds to explore, eat yummy food and drink A LOT of cocktails before a gig, then doing a bit of relaxing and chocolate eating before heading down to London for a family get together on Tuesday.
If you’re looking for something indulgent to bake this Easter (go on!) you might try my Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns, cute Easter bunny bark, or join the million others who’ve made my Creme Egg Chocolate Caramel Shortbread!
Happy Easter everybody!

Made the creme egg shortbread twice and I think it will be my ‘go to’ recipe now! It went down a treat at work yesterday.
We favoured a biscuit base over a baked based in recent years, but I shall be making the witch back! Have to admit to a wee cheat though and did my caramel and chocolate in the microwave as I detest washing sticky saucepans! Xx
