Happy Friday y’all!! Monday is a bank holiday in the weekend which means THREE DAY WEEKEND yay!
Last Friday I went to Matlock in Derbyshire for a chocolate truffle making course that my friends got me for my 30th birthday last year.
It was really fun to wonder around a new place by myself and explore! There are so many great vintage shops in Matlock -definitely worth a visit.
Cat picture time! We discovered that Bella loves tummy rubs this week… though there’s always a danger that she’ll turn on you and you’ll get the sharp end of her claws.
On Wednesday I went for lunch at Pudding Pantry in Nottingham. My lentil salad was pretty disappointing (though definitely something I could do way better at home) but the pecan pie was nice!
Guess what’s in here?
This weekend I’m visiting my family in Staffordshire, then spending Monday with Lee. Hurray for bank holidays! What are you up to?

The plate photo + the cake photo that follows = glorious. I know I’ve said this 39748x but I wish we lived closer (at least in the same country π ) and could enjoy a cozy afternoon of tea + treats together! Maybe one day!

Three cheers for bank holidays, I say! Matlock certainly sounds to be a place to call in on, I just love vintage shops!

Happy Friday to you too π
I am do jealous you got to spend a whole day in Matlock! We’ve driven through quite a few times now but have never had the time to stop! I think I’d need more than a day there though. I’d been meaning to look into weekend away. Thanks for reminding me π
