Happy Friday!
Last week I popped in to see these little cuties while my friends were away – they were glad to see me and get their rabbit food!
On Sunday I relaxed and admired my pretty lounge – I’ve got a thing for gingham!
These two kitty’s spent most of the weekend lounging on the bed.
On Sunday I finished making an oreo ice cream cake to enjoy on friday night – with nutella and strawberries!
I was feeling poorly monday and tuesday with a bad headache thing, so I went home early for a toddlers supper – fish fingers and peas!
On Wednesday it was the monthly City WI meeting in the city – the lovely Helen talked about her time spent in the archives researching women’s lives in WWII Vienna. It was SO interesting – the time flew by and Helen was a wonderful speaker!
This is dinner thursday night – halloumi tuna salad, and praise the lord that Lidl have started selling halloumi because its Β£1.30 there and Β£2.30 in tesco! I’m trying to eat less carbs this week since discovering that my body doesn’t seem to deal with them very well (Believe me, this is not news I wanted to hear and I’m not jumping on a gluten free bandwagon). I’ll still be having bread and cakes, but maybe, a bit less than before!
What are you up to this weekend? I’m off to a friends for another 90s movie night and to devour the ice cream cake!
x Kerry

I love the snapshots from your week! Such wonderfully visual recap π I love your lounge! The red gingham is too adorable. The OREA ice cream cake! What???!!
Mind blown. I hope you had a great 90s movie night! What did you watch?? x
Ahh, what a lovely week! Loving the kitties too π
The Oreo ice cream cake looks so good! π Ice cream cakes are delicious. Also, that tuna salad looks like a great choice. I’m discovering the same thing about my body + carbs. I’m considering cutting them out for the month of June to see how I feel (not fruits + veggies – just breads!)

Aw look at those cats! So comfy π That oreo cake looks amazing!! Definitely need to do some baking. Thats a pain about the gluten thing but hopefully cutting out a bit will make it better – plus the excuse to eat more haloumi! x

90s movie night? That sounds like the best thing ever! I happen to think the 90s was one of the best decades around, especially pertaining to music. Umm Gin Blossoms. Anyway, I read yesterday about Sony remaking The Craft and I was a bit confused by it. Is it really old enough for a remake and wasn’t the original pretty rad? Hope you enjoyed your movie and dessert!

I just love gingham too – to me it’s timeless, like polka-dots. Cat just seem to always find their way up to the bedrooms! Our feline friend does just that too, he even gets into bed with us when it’s winter! Kingsize bed & he takes up most of the room! (don’t think my grandma would be too impressed to hear the cat gets in bed though). Love the look of your ice cream cake!

Thanks Angela! They’re not allowed in the night but they seize their opportunity during the day! π
I’m always amazed at how much you manage to fit into your weeks. Though I’m sorry to feel you weren’t feeling too great on Monday! I hope the horrible headache has gone for good.
I’m off to get an exciting new hair cute tomorrow – eek! And then off for afternoon tea. I feel your pain with the news carbs don’t make your tummy happy. It is the same with me and meat! Sometimes we just have to listen to our bodies a little more.
Still, the odd slice of cake every now and then won’t hurt π
All the best!
