Happy Friday folks! How has your week been?
This week things kicked up a gear to proper Christmas-eh with the opening of Nottingham’s winter wonderland! With craft stalls, an ice rink and churros, I feel its a place I’ll be returning to soon! I also went to a lovely dinner with my other half’s family at Carluccio’s in Nottingham which was delicious. Also pictured: new festive teatowels from Asda.
This week I also made a tasty Gingerbread Cake for Cake Club – which was exactly the same recipe as my Gingerbread Cupcakes, just in cake form! One of our attendees made an absolutely amazing Apricot couronne which I may still be having dreams about.
Our advent calenders are ready to go for Sunday – I’m excited to decorate the house too! Also pictured : butternut squash with which I made a veggie lasagne and some soup, and Marty having the time of his life sitting on my new jumper.
Also: it’s now pie weather. I am favouring Quorn chicken and leek pies with sweet potato mash, kale and veggie gravy. YUM!
Bringing up the rear of this week – a flying visit to London to see one of my favourite ever bands Okkervil River! We had time to mooch around St Pancras beforehand (cute Fortnum and Mason Christmas Tree! Peyton and Byrne cupcakes are still disgusting!). We also enjoyed a stone-baked pizza from The Regent.
Also pictured – new tartan scarf from M&S, and the MOST PERFECT wedding accessory yet – a Rainbow Stamp!
Will you be partaking in an advent calender this year – edible or non edible?
