Happy Friday guys!
How has your week been?
This past Friday we went to the registry office to get the documents that we’ll need for our wedding. We had to take lots of proof of identity and answer questions about each other to prove that we are getting married for genuine reasons!
On Friday afternoon, we spent a few hours with the lovely ladies from Orange Tree weddings to discuss some of the details around our wedding food, drinks, decorations and schedule. I baked a red velvet cake for the occasion which I’ll share with you soon – I think it may have been the best tasting cake I’ve ever made! It was so moist and tasty and went soo well with the cream cheese frosting!
After all that delicious delicious sugar, I tried to inject some nutrients in my diet with salads (as well as a delicious and HUGE homemade pizza, oops!). I’ve also been bringing some spring into the house with pretty flowers and bright lip colours!
A few more snaps of Milo on his new activity centre, now dubbed ‘Milo world’! He seems to be really chuffed that we got him this massive, furry gift!
What are you up to this weekend? I’m heading to a party to celebrate Australia Day, and I’ll be taking along some homemade Lamington Cake!

You’re so pretty Kerry 🙂 I can’t wait to see pictures of you from your wedding day!
Also, I love ‘Milo’s World’ – I bet he’s really loving it!
Aw you’re so kind Di! He is, he’s just discovered the hammock and now he won’t move from it!
Oooh I love lamington cake, always have it when we are in NZ. Normally have it with jam instead of chocolate so look forward to seeing how that turns out. Have a good weekend Kerry! x
Thanks Jen, you too!!
That red velvet cake looks too delicious! Still have never got round to making anything red velvet – I seriously need to!
