Happy Friday!
I am so looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow! I can’t wait for the mornings to start getting a little lighter so it’s easier to crawl out of bed!
This past Friday I had the day off and hung out with Erin and baby Finley all day. We went swimming and had a delicious lunch. Babies are so fun! Especially once they start smiling and responding to things a bit more.
I also had a declutter and clear out of my house and purchased some delightful new scented candles from Sainsburys. Their home department is on fire right now – definitely worth a look if you’re on the look out for some new accessories.
Oh, and I tried to eat a bit healthier…
And that quickly fell by the wayside on Sunday with blueberry pancakes for breakfast! I’m still completely traumatised by the fact that Pancake Day isn’t until March 4th this year so I had to get some February pancakes in!
I also discovered a new favourite beauty product – this aveeno hand cream is absolutely amazing! I had a little winter soreness and it’s cleared it right up.
I’ve also started a new, more visual wedding planning system – post its on a chalkboard divided into jobs for each of us! It helps to see everything – it makes it less stressful to have everything written down where I can see it!
This week has been the week of lunching! I’ve been out for three lunches with workmates, plus one dinner with some old friends! Two times, I went to Wired Cafe bar in Nottingham, which I am slowly spreading the word about to the whole county! The food is delish!
Did you know that it was world nutella day on Wednesday? There are tons of various ‘days’, many of which conflict, and that I find to be generally nonsense, but world nutella day is just amazing! If you have some spare time this weekend, try your hand at my amazing homemade nutella – you’ll absolutely love it because it’s healthier and even more delicious than the stuff in the jar!
This weekend I’m heading to cake club – I’m making nutella brownies!! They are going to be super decadent – I can’t wait!
What are you up to this weekend – any plans? Are you baking anything?

I totally agree with you about bbaies being more fun after they start smiling and responding. My nephew is finally starting to smile and observe more (instead of sleeping!) ๐ So much more fun then a constantly sleeping baby (at least in my opinion!) Also, I had no idea that Pancake Day was coming up in March. Good to know ๐
