Happy Friday, readers!
How has your week been so far? I’m doing well – the healthy eating is going to plan and I’m really enjoying it! I feel a lot less bloated and generally better, which is great! Here’s a couple of my healthy eats from this week, plus a bonus picture of Milo snoozing on my lap!
Last Friday I went for lunch with my lovely friend Erin and her little one Finley. He is just the cutest! Everyone loves this guy.
We shared a massive sandwich and a delicious baked sweet potato with cheesy leeks – if you’re in Nottingham and you haven’t been to Wired yet – go now!
On Sunday, I headed to a picnic at my friend Lucy’s house – the house is being renovated so it was all very rustic! I made this Very Vanilla layer cake to take along – it went down very well indeed! I just love these little round confetti sprinkles, which you can get quite cheaply at eBay.
There was nothing left of the cake by the next day! In order to stop myself being tempted, I took the three leftover slices to my work friends to serve as a Monday pick me up!
I sported my new New Look check shirt – it’s from their petite range and actually doesn’t swamp me which is fab!
This week I also splurged on some pretty new pearl earrings from Etsy, which are lovely, as well as going on a mini shopping spree in Paperchase – I love that place! I got a really cute diary for 2014 in the sale, plus some birthday gifts and cards for other people.

Our wedding invitations finally arrived, so we’ll be spending some time putting them together and sending them out.
P.S. – Don’t forget its pancake day on Tuesday! If you want to make some pancakes, make sure you’ve got butter, eggs, sugar, flour and toppings. I’ll be making american style pancakes with blueberries and chocolate chips, topped with maple syrup!
