Happy Friday readers! What are you getting up to this weekend?
This week I got creative with a sparkly silver and pale pink manicure, and enjoyed some fun lunches around the lace market in Nottingham! Such a pretty area.
I spent a lot of Saturday cleaning and organising, especially our bedroom. It was such a beautiful sunny day, but it makes me feel better to have everything organised! I also continued doing lots of exercise (mainly the 30 day shred, yoga and running – and of course cycling to work!), plus I got a new ‘meet me at the left lion’ picture frame.
Saturday evening, we headed for a long walk around Beeston and took some carrots with us to meet a horse called Biscuit. He was very friendly (so long as the carrots kept coming). After we got back, I was exhausted, so we had a low key evening with pizza and the new issue of Delicious magazine!
I also got some beach towels this week for our holiday, and it turns out that beach towels are MAGNETS to cats. They are definitely going to get a lot more use out of them than we will!
I also made Christmas bark (recipe coming soon! and Chocolate Avocado Mousse too!
This week I also had a lovely lunch with my old workmates at NTU as one of them leaves for maternity leave. We went to Turtle Bay in Nottingham, which was quite nice. I had a watermelon crush to drink, so refreshing!
Plus – cats! Here’s Milo cuddling up to Lee on the sofa (he’s hard to capture being mostly black, but so cute!), plus some adorable cat print clothes I came across in H&M.
On Thursday night, we went out to the cinema to see What Maisie Knew, which I would highly recommend – it’s such an eye-opening and amazing film. Watch it! I also made up for some of my healthy eating/exercise with a massive veggie burger at the Malt Cross! Plus I sported a flippy ponytail (inspired by Biscuit?). The poster for Austenland looks interesting!
Have a wonderful weekend readers!
