It’s February and once again Valentine’s Day is about to sneak up on us. Do you choose to celebrate V-day or completely ignore it? It’s a little cheesy and lord knows I would never go to a restaurant on the 14th (hello cliche!) but there ain’t nothing wrong with gifts, especially of the food variety!
If you’d like to treat your love this valentine’s, take a look at my valentine’s treats round up – I’ve focused on things that are quick and easy to make and can be made ahead of time too!
Nutella White Chocolate Chunk Cookies
These cookies need to be chilled, so make the dough the day before and bake them up on the 14th to surprise your valentine. If s/he’s a nutella fan (99% likely), you’ll definitely be making them VERY happy.
Cookie Dough Oreo’s
I made homemade oreo’s recently, so why it didn’t occur to me to put cookie dough inside them I will never know. These will definitely win your valentine’s heart!
Heart Cut Out Cookies
Easy, pretty, and you could just as easily put nutella in the hearts. Brown is less pretty than red, but nutella always wins. Get the recipe at Cooking Classy!
White Chocolate Bark
I always dismissed novelty ice cube holders as a pointless thing to have around the house but now I realise their true use – making adorable chocolates! I am definitely giving this a try. (Since they don’t sell pink and red only bags of smarties, you’ll have to eat the other colours).
Peanut Butter Cups
I made these homemade peanut butter cups recently and they were so ridiculously easy. If you can operate a microwave and a spoon, you can make these! And you’ll have brownie points until at least Halloween!
Heart shaped rice krispie cakes
Well, aren’t these just super adorable? After the ghost shaped rice krispie treats I made last Halloween, I can attest to the fact that these should turn out really well! Just use a heart shaped cookie cutter and then dip the rice krispie treats in chocolate. You get to eat the rice krispie offcuts, hurrah!
I hope this has inspired you to make something delicious for your love this valentine’s! Failing that… flowers always work.

I really want to bake something for Marty for Valentine’s Day. I’m not sure what yet but I’m leaning towards the dipped Rice Krispie treats. I feel like it’d be fairly difficult to mess those up! ๐
